DROWNED IN WATER DRUM.

(By Telegraph.—Tress Association.)

TIMARU, Sunday.

Gladys Stone, aged two years, a daughter of Mr. William Stone, wharf labourer, was found drowned this morning in a partly-filled drum of water in th,e yard attached to her parents' home.

It is rather a curious coincidence that there should have been two such unusual fatalities as the above in the same district in the course of a single week. A message from Tiinaru on Tuesday last having reported the drowning of auotlier child in a small barrel of water. . _
