AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. THE PEEUMKAJIY ROUNDS. PLAYED IX _TS*E WEATHES. Thcrugh the sky was overcast and somewhat threatening- yesterday morning, Auckland bowlers, who have been exceedingly fortunate in the weather conditions this season, were able to commence the annual Easter tournament under highly satisfactory conditions. The greens were a trifle heavy, and a fairly stronsr wind occasionally upset calculations, but rain was limited to an occasional sprinkle, and the various srarnes were fought out without interruption. In the Easter fours, of nine rounds . three were played, and another three are being decided to-day. The executive fours is divided into twelve rounds of fifteen heads each. Four were played yesterday on the Carlton green, and a similar number are being decided to-day in perfect weather. The first year championship is being decided at : ley.
