HAURAKI PLAINS.

NOT MANY TRANSFERS. ■ (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. The first sale of farm property for over two years on the Hauraki Plains has just been completed, 100 acres near Turua changing hands as a going concern at £45 per acre. The farm is an improved one, and its recent owner has been milking on it for some time. The buyer comes from Wairarapa, and is well pleased with his purchase, having toured the wliole of the plains area to find a suitable place, but not many are offering at present, owing to farmers generally being well satisfied •with the splendid future before them.
