MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.
Messrs. McCallum, Gallaher, Lupton, SVliyte, Faweett nnd Cox attended the ordinary meeting of the board, the latter taking the chair in the absence of Mr, A C. A. Sexton. Jellicoe Road.—The request for a footpath on the eastern side was declined, in consideration or the fact that crossings baa been provided from that side to the .ormea footpath. Kerbside Pumps. —Messrs. Murray ana White's application for permission to erect two additional pumps was graated. Franklin Massey Memorial.—lt was decided that a donation of £5 be made to this fund. Jleavy Traffic Licenses.—.lt was resolved that local vehicle owners concerned be notified that the board will issue these 'licenses as from Ist April, 1026. Police Patrol.—Several members reported ■the presence of hoodlums who were constantly creating disturbances in the dis- '? ct ', J- - was resolved that the position Tie (placed before the Hon. the Minister oi Justice through Mr. _". D. "YleLennari, M.P.. with a request lor adequate police protection. Building permits Issued during the monttt of teoruary were to the value of £2000.
