A SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY. " SPECTRUM LINE." NEW YORK, March 10. After six years' research in the laboratory of the University of Illinois the chemical element known as "spectrum line" has been discovered by the use of , the X-ray spectroscope, and identified as Element Sixty-one, for which scieni tists have been searching; for years. It is not believed to be radioactive, but an addition to eighty-five known elements. The discovery was made by Dr. Hopkins, of the University of Illinois, and Mr. J.
