; (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ' WELLINGTON, this day. The Main Highways Board discussed at length the question of elimination of level railway crossings. The board now proposes to approach the Railway Department with a view to arriving at a basis of contribution towards the cost of elimination as between the three parties concerned—the New Zealand Railway Department, the Main Highways Board and local bodies. The scheme will cover a number of years, the programme for each year being determined by the degree of danger.
