The officer in charge of the purehas- j ing and stores department of the Auck- | land Habrour Boaxd wTote to the Auck- j land Provincial Industrial Association. , . stating, in reply to a. letter from the • I association, that it had been decided by I I the Purchasing Committee of the board ' j that an opportunity should be given to ] New Zealand manufacturers to quote \ for future supplies of serge for uniforms. The committee was thoroughly in accord ■with the principle of supporting New Zealand industries wherever possible.
