U.S. CAPITAL IN CANADA.
Speaking , at tho annual meeting of tho Bank or Montreal, the president, Sir Vincent Moredith, Bart, said: —
"Fear or the Ai.-erlcanlsatlon or Canada has been expressed by visitors ' rrom overseas because oi the larye sums of money coming: rrom the United States for investment in manufactories and other enterprises in this country. I do not share this fear, but rather welcome tlio flow or money, which must assist in the development of our natural rosourens, give employment to. labour, and increase- our exports to other countries. Th« firm loyalty of the Canadian poople to tho British Empire has roots deeper than the pocket."
