The reasonably pood financial results of the summer and autumn race meetings at Wingatu: have stimulated the Dunedin Jockey Club to take a definite step forward with regard to a fic-heme for improving its racecourse appointments. Tenders are to be called for building a new. stand "outside"' (next the present grandstand enclosure), also i for the construction of a new totalisator ■ house between the new stand and the > present stewards' stand, also for improvements to the existing stand?. The ndea is to so enlarge the grandstand enclosure as to include the three stands I now in use. known respectively as the stewards' stand, the members' stand, and the outside stand. The alterations, when effected, will make Wingatui one of the most commodious courses in Kew Zealand.
