CONGRATULATIONS.

SIR J. PARR'S WEiLWISHERS. SERVICES APPRECIATED. Appreciation of the services of Sir James Parr during his twelve years' representation of the Eden electorate in Parliament, and also congratulations upon his appointment as New Zealand High Commissioner in London, were the subjects of a resolution that was passed "by a meeting of electors of the Morn-ingside-Edendale district last evening. The meeting further decided to place on record its appreciation of his able work as Minister of Education. While regretting his proposed resignation, as a distinct loss to the Eden electorate and the Dominion, the meeting wished Sir James Parr success in his high and important office. The meeting also placed on record its high, appreciation of the able assistance Lady Parr had given, and wished both Sir James and Lady Parr many years of happiness, and especially that Sir James would have a very prosperous and successful term of office.
