EIFFEL AIR CRASH.
MAKING FILM SPECTACLES. MATTER FOR REGULATION. (Received 0.30 a.m.) PARIS, February 25. Witnesses of Callot's fatal crash yesterday, when (lying under the arch of the Eiffel Tower, state that the pilot made a contract with a for jig 1 cinematograph firm to fly twice under the tower, while a parachutist was Hung from the second platform of the tower after the aeroplane's second passage. Search is now being made for the cinematographer and the parachutist, who disappeared after the accident. — Renter. ORDERS DISREGARDED. (Received 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, February 25. Callot. the airman, who was killed in flying through the arch of the Eiffel Towel, Mas under orders from the authorities not to attempt the flight, which was against the regulations. A group of cinema operators filmed the whole incident. There w-is ample.room for the 'plane to pass through the base, but it requires careful manoeuvring to avoid the wires anchoring the tower to the concrete bed 200 yds away.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
