CARNIVAL AT WAIHI. (By Telegraph.--Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The first carnival this season under the auspices of the Waihi Swimming Association, was held in the municipal baths last evening, there being a large atendanee. Results are as folow: — 220 Yards Open.—N. Noakes (Morrinsville), ss, 1; W. Howe (Waihi), scr. 2. Time, 3.15. Won comfortably. 100 Yards -Open.—ll. Taylor (Walhl), 20s, 1; J. Angus (Waihi), 10s, 2. Angus beat Noakes by a touch for second place. Time, 1.20 2-5. Boys under 12, 334 yards.—C. Wotherspoon. 3s, 1; Stockley, 2s, 2. Time, 29 2-ss. Girls under 12.—X. Quintal, 6s, 1; D. Mackie, 2s. 2.
