Rumours of the pending appointment of a new High Commissioner in place of Sir James Allen have been strengthened by activities noticeable in Eden electorate. Sir James Parr, on ins return to Wellington from Auckland yesterday, stated that he was not in a position to give any information. The Hon. J. G. Coates. when asked for information, said he expected to be able to make an announcement about a week hence. . |
