STAGGERING- BILL OF COSTS. LONDON, February 21. A Belgian litigant named Lek has been ordered to pay costs, estimated at £40,000, in an unsuccessful suit against Lloyd's Underwriters, the hearing of which lasted 30 days. Lek, who was a diamond merchant, claimed £44,000 for loss of a stamp collection, but did not satisfy the judge that the collection had really been lost.— ("Sun.")
