Thrro was no surprise in the senior results on Saturday, when the A.C.A. club champion.-iiipa were continued in fine weather nml on fast wickets. At Eden Talk, the home team did rather hotter than was expected of thorn in not only petting University out for less than Eden's score of 181, but in holding them,. do*n to a total of 118.' Kdf>n made no effort'at getting a threepoint win, lint , ' ''occupied the rest of the afternoon in making 219 for five wickets. Grafton failed badly in their attempt to Ponsonby's total of 195, and were all out for 101, the only batsman to •make any showing being L. Taylor, who hatted solidly for 45. Ponsonby batted till call of time in making 217 for three wicket?, the feature of the innings being a knock of 111 not out 'by N-. C. Sneddon. ' The only surprise at North Shore., was that the home toam failed to get another three-point win. When they- ■got rid of Parnlell the first time for 118, and the latter had to follow on, the outright win looked certain. But B. Badeley came to light in a forceful innings of 154 and the Others supported him well, with the result that only four wickets fell 'for 276 runs, leaving Shore to win on the first innings.
