INCREASE IN BIRTHS. REMARKABLE COINCIDENCE. By a remarkable coincidence the number of deaths registered in Auckland during the past month, was exactly the same as that recorded in January of last year. The number was 135. The number of births was 326, as against 1 321 for the corresponding month, in 1925, an increase of five. . Marriages totalled 172, including 41 performed by the registrar. In January, 1925, the total was 156, of which 50 were performed by the registrar.
