WAGES OF ENGINEERS.
NEGOTIATIONS BREAK DOWN. LONDON, January 29. Negotiations for an increase of £1 a ■week in the wages of 700,000 engineering workers have broken down, after having been in progress for two years. The "Daily Herald* says that the present wages of skilled engineers are from 50/ to 60/ a week. — (A. and ST.Z. Cable.)
