Splendid weather has favoured the annual Hawke's Bay Provincial tennis championships tourney. _ Good progress has been made with the chief events, and it is expected that most of the finals, will be played to-morrow. Results:— Hawke's Bay Boys' Championship Singles. S>em-i-nnal : Cato defeated Mitchell, 4—G ° —"• • —5; Malfroy defeated Morison, o—3, •'— *• Final: Malfroy defeated Cato, 6 —2, Hawke's Bay Girls' Championship Singles.—Semi-final : Miss J. Morison defeated Miss Symonds, G—4, G—o ; Miss Howell defeated Miss Brunton 7—5, 6—l Hawke's Bay Championship Men's Singles.—Semi-final: S. Powdrell defeated Malfroy, 6—2, 0—0; Andrews defeated Lowry, 4—G, 6—4, 6—O. Hawke's Bay Championship Men's Doubles.—Semi-final : Powdrell and Powdrell defeated Shirley and L. Drummond o—3, (i—2; Andrews and Lowry defeated Green and D. Drummond, 6 —l, 6 3. Hawke's Say Combined Championship Doubles.—Semi-final: Powdrell and Mrs Hetley defeated Martin and Miss Morison, o—l, 6—O. \ Hawke's Bay Championship Ladies' Doubles.—Semi-finals: Misses Cato and Cotterill defeated Mrs. Green and Miss Hnrtgill, 6—o, 6—l; Mrs. Hetley and Miss Bennett defeated Mrs. Thompson and Miss Grant, 6—2, 6—2.
