THE HOHENZOLLERNS.

ELDER WILHELM'S BIRTHDAY. SON DEBARRED FROM ACCESS. (Received 10.30 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, January 28. The Dutch authorities refused to allow the ex-Crown Prince Wilhelm of Germany to visit his father, the exKaiser, at Doom on the occasion of the latters 67th birthday. This unexpected decision contradicts the permission granted previously, and the ex-Kaiser is disappointed at what he calls ridiculous interference with a mere birthday reception. It is suggested in certain quarters that the Allied Governments intervened to prevent the visit. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
