MAN'S ARM TORN OFF.

G. RAMSAY OF THE MARAMA. CAPTAIN RENDERS FIRST AID. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Marama arrived two hours ahead of the schedule time. The steamer went full speed when over 300 miles from Sydney in order to obtain medical attention for one of the crew. G. Ramsay, who had his arm torn off in the engine-room. As there was no doctor aboard the ship the captain attended the man, and, in response to a wireless message, the Marama was met by an ambulance and Ramsay was taken to the hospital. — (A. and N.Z.
