A LORD'S SUGGESTION. SCRAP THE ASSOCIATION. (Received l'J.i'.O p.m.) LONDON, January 27. The newspapers give prominence to Lord Londonderry's suggestion that the !Mininpr Association should be dissolved, and that employers aud men again discuss wages on the district basis. Sir Alfred Mond. as chairman of a ftrge colliery enterprise, welcomes Lord Londonderry's attitude, and says that greater elasticity in the negotiations and arrangements in the mining industry is required than is afforded under the national agreement.— I -A. and N.Z.)
