CAMBRIDGE SUMMER SCHOOL
I AN UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS. ; EXTENSION OF MOVEMENT FORECASTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. The first North Island teachers' summer school, which has been held at Cambridge over the past ten days, has proved an unqualified success. The school closed last night, the teachers leaving for their homes to-day. Yesterday. Mr. A. C. Ca ugh ley, Director of Education, visited tlie school, and. speaking in the Town Hall, congratulated the organisers and originators of the scheme. lie was satisfied that noth-1 ing but good would come out of the movement, and was pleased that steps j had been taken to establish tiie school! permanently and extend its possibilities. | jHe hoped, as do project expanded, to I j have annual schools i„ *>(~__ _i, e Xort'i and South Islands.
