. j MANUKAU CLUBHOUSE. Repairs to the clubhouse, the propprty of the Jlanuknu YUeht and Motor Boat Club, hove heen completed. The building, a twostoreyed one, situated at the end of Wharf Road, was damaged 'by fire about the middle of September last. The fire was quickly suppressed before it got a hold on the' main structure. The chief damage was to the interior fittings and the piano. To-dny the | building- looks as good ns new. The interior | lias been painted, nnd the private rooms and I social hall revarnished and refurnished. A } cont of pnlnt has been put on the outside ! of th* building. The Auckland Glass Com- ' pany has reinstated the two decorated win- ! dows in the top storey at the front of the clubhouse. Each window is In the shape of a lifebuoy, with the usual cords attached. The club's colours, _ red flag with a star In the centre, are painted on each window, with the name of the club underneath.
