NIGHT CLUB LIFE.

A DISORDERLY PEER. GUARDS' OFFICER FINED. LONDON, January 22. Lord Suffield. aged 20. -who is a captain in the Scots Guards, was fined £5 and costs for being drunk and disorderly in the West End of London in the early hours of the morning on December 15. The police tendered evidence showing that Lord Suffield and a party of men friends were refused admittance to a night club. Thereupon disorderly scenes occurred which culminated in their arrest. Lord Suffield stated in evidence that he had attended a bachelor dinner in honour of a friend who was about to be married on the following day. He denied the charge of drunkenness. A charge of indulging in insulting behaviour was brought against the bride-groom-elect, who is also a Guardsman, but this was withdrawn. — (A. and X.Z.)
