Sir James Parr heartily congratulated the president, directors, and all concerned on the givat success that had attended the exhibition thus far. He cordially wished theiti a continuance of that success to the very end, and thanked the exhibition authorities for the £10,000 cheque they had already sent the Government in part payment of its loan to thorn, lie hoped that there wore other cheques still to come, and that the whole of the indebtedness t</ the Government would be wiped out, following the splendid example that Great Britain was showing to the world in repaying her war debt to the United States.
