Mr. W. H. Horton (Wellington) is at the Grand Hotel.

The Hon. F. H. Boyce (N.S.W.) arrived yesterday from Rotorua. He is at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont Smith (Sydney), Inspector Wohlnmiin (Hamilton) and Mr. Hardy (Sydney) are staying at the Albert Hotel.

Mr. T. Lamont. Mayor of Devonport. left last night for Dunedin. where iie will attend the Municipal Conference early in February. Water Board business in Wellington will engage Mr. Lamont's attention for some days. He expects to be absent about three weeks.

Licensed victuallers fro mall parts of New Zealand gathered in Wellington yesterday to do honour to tiuir president, Mr. Percy Coyle, who has dune great work for them in the last two years. Mr. Coyle was presented with a cheque as some small recognition of his voluntary services. A long list of speakers declared him to be the greatest president the association has had.
