Eighty-five vessels aggregating 2,193.000 tons gross, were launched in 1925, according to "Lloyd's Annual."' Of these, 49i per cent, or 1,085,000 tons, were launched in the British Isles. Germany comes second with 406,000 tons. Italy 142,000 tons. United States 128.000 tons, and Japan being eighth with 56,000 tons. The decrease in the total output is 54,000 tons compared with 1024, the decrease in the British Isles being 355.000. Thus the increase abroad is 301.000 tons. The tonnage launched in Britain for owners abroad was 175.000. — (Reuter.)
