i BRITISH MINISTER'S VISIT. DOMINION'S OFFICE INTEREST. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 20. The Hon. W, Ormsby Gore (Under Secretary for the Dominions), accompanied by Captain C. A. H. Rhys, M.P., and two Colonial Office officials, left London, en route to West Africa, -where the party undertakes a comprehensive investigation of "West Coaet colonies and protectorates, especially directing attention to transport development, health, sanitation, education, and agriculture, particularly palm oil. In connection with the latter, Mr. Ormsby Gore will endeavour to reconcile the native. land policy with the necessity for meeting competition from the Congo and Sumatra. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
