ADAMSON TO SWIM.

[ LEAVES FOR NAPIER TO-NIGHT. I • The intimation that A. D. Adamson, ' Auckland's 100 yards swimming champion and New Zealand record holder, could not participate at the New Zealand championships commencing in Napier on Saturday was received with regret this week. To-day, however, a deputation from the Auckland Swimming Centre made a last minute plea to his firm for the necessary leave, and as a result of the negotiations Adamson was granted permission to journey with the rest of the team which leaves' for Napier to-night. L. L. Kronfcld, .who was stated to be going to Napier to compete, is not now going, but the rest of the representatives will make the trip without alteration.
