The Department was of the opinion ! that it was inadvisable to do anything at i ; teseiit. seeing that Brixton Road afforded j relief.-- Probably further relief would be : forthcomins by the erection of the new ; Normal school. i Provided the board contributed £259 IS | from the rebuilding fund and charged £238 ■ 14 - ,-i_-n;cst tbe maintenance fund, the De- ■ partment authorised an additional grant of j £3< v " towards the cost of remodelling the ! North.-o;e school. It was decided to notify the Pamell Com- ; mittee that the Department had deferred i application for a grant for improvements Ito the new school site, as no funds would !be available during the current financial I year. I On the recommendation of the advisory ; inspector, it was decided to erect an addiI ttoaal classroom a: the new Point Chevaj j lie:- school. The question of school accommodation at | Waibou 'Te Arohai was considered. It i was decided that no action should he taken. ■ The chairman remarked that children -who i should attend Te Arnha school w*re heir.accommodate.! at Waibou. The headmaster I ha- been instructed mar in future he must ' not enrol scholars outside his own district. -
