BACK FROM GRAVE.

PEER'S GHOST STORY. SKELETON RE-CLOTHED. LONDON, January 12. Lord Headley, the only British peer who is a Mohammedan, writing in the "Weekly Dispatch," says that when he dies he will not be dead any more than a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. He says that he was somewhat estranged from his father before the latter's death, and that reconciliation and forgiveness occurred in a strange vision. Lord Headley awoke, and was aware of a coffin being carried into the room by invisible hands. It was surrounded by phosphorescent light. The lid was unscrewed, flesh was put on the skeleton, and eyes into the sockets. Then Lord Headley's father sat up, wearing his ordinary clothes, and smiled at his son. The fifth Baron Headley, who is 71 years old, is a civil engineer. In 1921 he married, as his second wife, Mrs. Barbara Baynton, the Australian novelist (author of ''Bush Stories" and "Human Toil"). He lias published many books, including several on tidal erosion and foreshore protection. He is president of the British Moslem Society, and in 1023 made the pilgrimage to Mecca.
