MR. LAJTG'S SERFS.

'SYDNEY, January 18. After a meeting of the State Cabinet to-day, the Premier (Mr. J. T. Lang) announced that the Government intended to adhere to its plans, and would take steps this week for the abolition of the Legislative Council. The draft legislation was ready, and it only remained to obtain the verdict of Parliament.— (A. »nd N.Z. Cable.)
