The Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the marks grained by the entrant in the Matriculation examination of any year, together with marks gained in an essay set for the purpose of testing the candidate's general knowledge of elementary matters relating to New Zealand Trees and Forests. In addition a viva voce examination will be given. It is probable that arrangements can be made whereby scholarship holders and other students in Forestry will be able to secure from the Government and from private afforestation companies remunerative practical work during vacations. The Professor of Forestry will hold an examination at 10 a.m. on MONDAY, Ist March. 1926, at the College. Princes Street, Auckland.
