During the tour recently concluded, the New Zealand cricket team scored , 4168 runs for the loss of 108 wickets, an average of 38.59 runs per wicket. The Australians compiled 4099 runs for the loss of 127 wickets, making their average 32.27 runs per wicket. The New Zealand bowlers are credited .with 121 wickets, the remaining six—Brunskill, Longden, Campbell, Alexander, Tweeddale, and Morrissey —being run out. The New Zealanders received 172 runs as sundries, while the Australians collected . 200. This leaves 399G to be accounted for by the batsmen for the loss of 108 wickets, and 3899 runs off the bowlers for 121 wickets taken. The fieldsmen assisted the bowlers by accounting for 50 of their 121 wickets. Of this number Lowry has the greatest share, having caught 10 and stumped 5.' James, who played' in only four games, stumped one. Allcott caught 7, Blunt 5, Mcßeath 4, Dacre 4, Patrick 3, Oliver 3, Cunningham 3, Alloo 3, and Crawford 2.
