- _*- NEW ZEALAND'S PREFERENCE. (By Association.) DtJNEDIN, this day. Sir James Parr -was one of the guests at a dinner given by the British Commission to the exhibition directors. In the course of an address of congratulation he stressed the importance of this year's Imperial . Conference to the Empire and trade, stating that Cabinet only recently had given Britain the contract in Which was a difference of 20 per ceftt against her, as compared with a foreign tenderer.
