Senior c Sergeant Edwards stated that the woman I had been remanded on bail for a month, in order to see how she behaved. She' * was charged that on December 9 she was deemed to be an idle and disorderly J person, in that she consorted with reputed thieves and prostitutes. "She didn't behave," said the senior sergeant, putting a constable in the box. to tell what he had seen of Slattery's movements during the past month. ] "She had her chance, and didn't take r take it," said the magistrate "One t month!" . OTHER CASES. Archibald J. N. McGinnis (Mr. Hogben) was fined £2 for behaving in a disorderly manner in a tram car. James Russell Hunter was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months, on a charge of vagrancy. A prohibition order is to issue.
