.DECREASE FOR THE TEAR. j ' (Received 12.30 p.m.) ' SYDNEY, this day. ] According to the report of the Public ] 1 Service Board, the complement of the Public Service has been reduced by 642 part and full-time employees since 1920, despite the fact that the population has increased by 185,000 in the same period. At June 30 last there were 17,703 fulltiine and 618 part-time officers and employees. The number of school teachers was considerably below the requirements of the Education Department.—(A. and N.Z.) .
