BOOKSELLERS MEET.
CONFERENCE IN THE SOUTH. THE PRICE OF BOOKS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDDT, this day. The fifth annual conference of the New Zealand Retail Booksellers' Association was commenced this morning, 70 delegates attending, including representatives from Australia and the Oxford University Press. Mr. Tapley, M.P., extended the city's welcome as Mayor. Mr. H. .S. South presided, and, in reply stated that the price of books showed a downward tendency. Books which cost 7/6 in London were obtainable here for 6/.
