THE STEAMER POOLTA.
HANDS REFUSE DUTY. VESSEL RETURNS TO FORT. (Received 12 noon.) SYDNEY, this day. Aβ a result of certain members of the crew of the steamer Poolta, which left Newcastle for New Zealand, refusing duty, the vessel returned to port some hours later. It is stated that considerable trouble was experienced with the crew just prior to sailing, and as the vessel was moving away three of the crew leapt back to the wharf. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
