AMERICA'S AWmL LIST. | I I WASHINGTON, December 10. | The death rate through motor acci- 1 dents in the United States in 1024 was 15.7 per 100,000 of population, as compased with 14.9 in 1923, 12.5 in 1922, and 11.5 in 1921. The total deaths from this cause in 1924 were 15,528, and compared with j 14,411 in 1923, and 11,666 in 1924. The total does.not include deaths from crossing accidents, which added 1532 fatalities in 1924. J The highest State death rate from motor accidents was California, 32 per i 100,000 of population. The New York City rate was 10.6, and that of Chicago was 19 per 100,000.—(A. and N.Z.)
