WOMAN MURDERED.
ANOTHER WOMAN COMMITTED SYDNEY, December 7. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Mary Carr, of Xhibo, who succumbed to injuries she received through being struck on the head with a shovel. A verdict of wilful murder was returned .against Alice Newdean, niece of deceased, who was committed for trial. ' The evidence tendered was io the effect that both women had been drinking and quarrelled".—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
