ALLEGED THREAT TO SHOOT.
AFFRAY OVER RABBIT TRAPS. ACCUSED MAN DISAPPEARS. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") TE AROHA, this day. The police at Morrinsville are searching for a man concerned in a quarrel at Tatuanui, where two men were arrested for being .in possession of a loaded rifle. \ According to a story told to your correspondent, Jack Graham, of Tatuanui, saw a man, whose name is not known, carrying off some of Graham's rabbit traps.' When Graham went/to remonstrate the intruder, it is alleged, pointed a rifle and threatened to shoot Graham, who knocked the rifle away. - During the struggle Graham was able l to open the breach of the rifle, from ] which, it is stated, he extracted a live \ cartridge and a bullet. V The man got away, and Graham imme- S diately informed the police. '
