THE RECENT ACCIDENTS. TRACK NOT TO BLAME. INQUIRY BY COMMITTEE. ,': 'The accidents which occurred at the Takapuna Jockey Club's recent spring meeting formed the subject of exhaustive inquiry by the Judicial Committee of the club, arid the following findings were \, "Cheltenham Handicaps-That the falling of Finelli, Nancy Lee and Lady Loi£ during the running of the Cheltenham Handicap oh Saturday, November 28, was due J;o Finelli crossing her legs .and falling;, thereby 'bringing down Nancy Lee and Lady Lois, Which were the horses following. The evidence of H. Dulieu went to show that his foot was previously injuffed during the running of the Alison Cup, ahd that through the injured foot being jammed at the start of the Cheltenham Handicap, he felt faint and diziy, and had no recollection of riding in any part of the race after pjts&ifig the five-furlong post. •'Vaiixfiall Handicap.—That after hearing thfe evidence of W. H. Jones, rider of Afcheflo, E. W. McTavish, rider of Eahepotdj arid also the statement made by A. SMfegdr, the rider of Festina Lente, to the stipendiary steward, with reference to thg falling of Rahepoto and Festifia Lente Oil Monday, November 30, the Judicial Committee are unanimously of opinion, that the accident was due to Rahepoto crossing his legs and falling, ih6rßby bfinking down Festina Lente.
