155 APPLICANTS. The names of 155 applicants appeared on the Labour Department's unem P °y ment list at mid.day to-day. . QJ W« number, 118 were applicants for JjesyJ work and 37 for light work. W men sought work as labourers; 10 ?"' gardeners and handymen; 12 as coow and hotel workers; C as seamen; ana » also as storemen and firemen. During the week SS men had been assisted in obtaining private empwr ment, 75 of this number being labm "*£ Of. the remaining 13, four bad placed as farm hands and one ■• ■ sandwichman.
