His Excellency the Governor-General has approved of the award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers Decoration to Lieutenant-Colonel J. a. Later they will go to Wellington, where, on Wednesday, Mr. Wallace will attend a, meeting of the Hospital Boards' Assoelation. A farewell social was tendered Con-, stable Spellman, Mrs. Spellman ami, family at Coromandel on the eve of bii departure after a residence of sixteen years. Mr. J. W.
