OBITUARY.

SISTER MARY AUGUSTINE. One of the well-known Sisters of Mercy at St. Mary's Convent died yesterday, aged 81 years. Sister Mary Augustine spent the greater part of her life in the Convent, having entered it in 1876. She was born in Dublin, and arrived in New Zealand in 1874. She had won high academic honours at South Abbey, Dalkey and Sion Hill, Dublin. She had also been at various schools on the Continent. During 49 years' residence in St. Mary's Convent her good works won her many friends. She was loved and respected, by the pupils passing through, the school. ' A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Convent at 8 a.m. to-morrow, after which ' the , interment will take place at the cemetery, Hillsboro'.
