STREET NAMES AND HOUSE NUMBERS.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l . heartily support v.our correspondents, "Visitor," "House Hunter" ar4 Taxi Bioko/ in their demand for names on our streets and number s on our houses. I>t mc offer a system when the naming of streets is 'under consideration by cities or boroughs: First, procure a directory showing the names of ail streets, '-places/ ptc with in n radius of at least 10 mile* and decide not to duplicate by naming any that are already named a given "name within that circle; secondly, if as in Mount Eden district, for example, you are rmttinar up n designator or sio- n " on a "street." Tf these two important matters are carefully attended to then as our a rea t city expands and takes in nei<rhbourinor boroughs we shall not have the .expense that is entailed m- giving new names to streets.'for example ap-ain.
