ANNUAL REUNION.
N.Z. FIELD ARTILLERY. The third annual reunion of the N.Z. Field Artillery and attached units was held in the Society of "Arts Hall on Saturday night. An attendance of nearly 200 was presided over by Mr. Norman Purdy (lieutenant), and the function was a decided success. Among those present were representatives of other units and officers of the Philomel. A number of toasts were honoured and a tribute was paid to "absent comrades" who fell in the late war. The toast of '"Other Services" was proposed by Mr. K. Milligan (major), who said that science was doing much to reduce the element in artillery to a minimum. The work of the gun crews was made lighter, and since the war power tractors had been extensively developed and modern gune were handled expeditiously by mechanical means. During the evening musical and vocal items were rendered by members present.
