EASTERN PRINCE ARRIVES. EX-SULTAN'S AGENT. NEW YORK, November 19. An aged Syrian, who has arrived in New York, might avcll have come from one of the Arabian Nights' stories on a magic carpet. But perhaps the magic carpet would not have borne the weight of the five heavy chests he has with him. Tliis mysterious visitor to the new world calls himself Prince Rachid Moutran Pasha, and claims that he was the confidental agent in Paris of the exSultan Abdul Hamid.
The five chests are reported to contain £2,000,000 Avorth of Greek golden ornaments.
Rachid says they were dug up years ago ln the Turkish province of Trebizond, on the Black Sea.
