RUGBY LEAGUE COUNCIL.
THE CASE OF RICE. A NEW ZEALAND TOUR. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, November 27. The English Rugby League Council meeting refused to alter its decision respecting the qualification of the NeAV Zealander, Rice, who asked for reconsideration of his case. The council agreed to include Rice's 18 months' residence in Canada, but stipulated that he must complete two years by residing in Great Britain for six months.
A communication Avas received from the New Zealand League accepting terms for the next season's tour, and thanking the council for its arrangements.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
